Taco Bueno in Mansfield

Placed an order in store at a register that had a note on the card reader “Swipe Only no chip reader” and swiped multiple times until cashier stated the card was declined. Same card was just used in another store with no issues. So I did what anyone would and paid cash. Came home called bank to understand issue and was told the amount was deducted from account with no issues. So I paid twice! Not sure if this was intentional or they need to take reader out of service. First time ever this has happened to me so it was pretty frustrating. Everyone needs to be alert when something doesn’t feel right.

Just like I remembered... mmm mmm good. Food was fresh and delicious. First time to visit a taco bueno in about 4 years and it is way better than taco bell.

Food okay. Staff kind of rude. They forgot my hot sauce and seemed pretty annoyed that I came back though the drive though to get it.

Loved the customer service

Big tacos need to be filled fully with ingredients, not just an inch of shell empty on each end. Tacos that did not ask for onion should not have onion. All the tacos were super greasy and not flavorful. The chili sauce on the burritos tasted too strong like it was not mixed right. Tacos that had guacamole added should have the guacamole in them and not on the side.

Drive thru took forever. Every car was told hello please wait for 5 min each, then when I finally get to order I got a couple burritos and a large Sprite NO ICE. Repeats order and didn't say the drink. I repeat Sprite NO ICE. She says sprite? And I respond yes, NO ICE. Then I sit at the pay window and she starts to hand me my burritos while asking for payment. I give her cash, she gives change and says thanks bye. So I wait. She opens the window and says you need hot sauce, and I say no, my sprite NO ICE. She says oh right, what drink? Sprite NO ICE. I got a Large cup full of ice with some sprite in there to keep them warm on this beautiful overcast 40 degree Fahrenheit day. And I'm late for work.

The food was good and quickly prepared. The soft tacos could have been better filled though, and napkins are important when bagging a to-go order.

Food was cold and tasted stale.

Try their Muchaco Box! OMG! So much food for very little money.

Do not recommend! Went through the drive-thru order my food only received 3/4 of it. And too pricey. Also the beans were burnt and old. Will not come back

The food was at par at this location however the service was below that. I had to wait over 15 mins for a simple order and heard the staff gossiping amongst themselves. I just to clock back on before I finished my meal to avoid repercussions of not finishing my meal on time. Not recommended if you're in a rush or have places to be

Manager need to be more friendly - I have not been at Taco Bueno in a long time and my kids wanted something new - Like the 5 box deal

My it was so good. I wanted more and more. The beans were flavorful. And the rice had great flavor. And of course the salsa, mmmmmmm. I don't like it chunky. So I love there smooth salsa. Muchcos are my favorite.

One of the few left open. The food here was better prepared and seemed fresher than the last few Buenos I have visited. My son's favorite place to eat so hopefully stays open. As long as the food quality stays at this level we will continue to come back.

Okay taco place. If you eat inside the food is great. If you go through the drive thru the food is only okay. They mess up the order about 25% of the time so we make sure to double check our order every time. Okay taco place

The place seemed clean, but my experience was weird. The service was a bit lazy and the lady taking my order seemed like she hated her job. The food came fairly quick, probably because there was only a few people there. The food itself was decent, but nothing like other Mexican restaurants I've been to. Overall, it's just a 'meh' kind of restaurant that I probably won't go to that often.

I visited on a Monday night around 9pm. When I arrived the parking lights were off, the drive thru menu was not lit up, and employees were walking out the door. I figured it was closed so I turn around and begin to leave. All of a sudden the all the lights turn on, so I decided to go through the drive thru. When I pulled up I asked a question and was ignored. I decided to not order and leave to Taco Bell. I did not trust irresponsible teens making my food.

Food (tamale plate) wasn't as good as I thought. Tamales were fine but beans and rice were not really good. I had heard people rave about this place. May try one more time at different place and see

I Got the WholeLottaplatter, incredibly salty, not pleased at all, looked really good, see the picture, not sure if I'll go back or not, man this is salty. I also got a few of the $1.49 regular tacos to see what they were like and they were okay but, I think I prefer Taco Casa to be honest.The wait staff was incredibly friendly and helpful as I used the drive-thru.

I love the food but the service is really bad. The employees never seem happy to be working I'm almost always forget some of the order, today I noticed a freekish amount of ants crawling into the store window.

Love Taco Buenos Muchacos, and chicken potatoe burrito/beef potatoe burrito 😋

I understand that a job like this can be very difficult, and you don’t always pay attention to what you’re saying in front of customers, but the guy at the window just now who was talking about a coworker that “dipped in the middle of rush” and called her a “retard”...yeah, not very professional. Not to mention, he was pretty rude to us, as well. I get that coworkers can be frustrating, but be aware of the words you’re using in front of customers.

I hated the service at this location. Taco Bueno should change their name to Taco Fal, it was horrible. First off they didn't have chicken for new dunked chimichanga. So I ended up ordering a steak chimichanga and A beef taco salad. The chimichanga,had beef with literally three shreds of steak and looked like it had been sitting in the waste bin and it had a worm looking big in it. On top of them giving me a stale nacho salad instead of the taco salad. I called spoke to someone named Karen. She told me to return back to the store. I asked for the manager and he came to the front however refused to give his name. He said that he not required to give his name. Also told me to come back in the morning to talk to the general manager. Snatch the chimichanga and three it in the trash after I told him that I want to get it analyzed. Unless you want bugs in your food and whatever else, stay away from this location.

The meat and veggies are scarce. Taco Bueno has most definitely gone downhill.

The woman behind the counter during lunch hours today was extremely rude when my small group came in and ordered. We were very kind to her, asked her how she was. Guess it didnt matter, she was set in her ways to be disrespectful. Hope she gets an attitude adjustment!

Easy to get in and out. Food tastes very good as always. Family loves the cinnamon chips 😁😁. Staff very friendly. But if you order to go, you need to review your order as I was missing a side of rice and chips. But the food is good and I will eat at Bueno again

Sadly, I am done with Bueno. At one time, this was a faborite. But accuracy of food order and quality have been consistently going down to where deals are no longer valuable to us. :(

Man, always so frustrating! My kids like this place and it is PAINFUL to go. Today was 2 cars in front of me at 1230 pm, she interrupted my order 4 times and asked me to hold, would come back and ask me to start over. 33 minutes later I move to pick up window and they Ask me to give them my order again while I watch them argue over why it’s all wrong in the bag. I remember when this place used to be managed by someone competent.

We ordered over Uber Eats (we were told we'd get a refund, so that's good). I'm glad we didn't go in person because I don't know if we'd get our money back. We ordered beef burritos and recieved just bean burritos with very little filling. Luckily the other items we ordered were correct.

The food wasn't great. But the real problem is that we waited over 5 minutes before anyone even looked to see if anyone was waiting to order. While I was waiting I watched them making food with no gloves on. Gross! I told the lady when she finally came to take my order but that doesn't change the fact that someone had their dirty hands all in the lettuce, tomato and cheese. While I was eating an employee used the restroom and as soon as we hear the toilet flush door swings open. Ummm, Mr. Bueno, please get your employees some training. I had a similar experience at the Burleson location where I took pictures of the lady wiping her nose and preparing order ungloved. This is ridiculous! I have always loved Bueno but I will not be back because of the nastiness of the employees at multiple locations!

I would give just about anything to have a Taco Bueno in Corpus Christi again! Puts Taco Bell to shame.

Great fun to get a yummy taco salad with chips and cheese dip!

Food is really so-so. Maybe if you like very bland Tex Mex this is OK. Haven't been to a Bueno in a long time. Probably won't be back in a long time. Maybe this is just a bad one? Taco Bell is better.

Relatively inexpensive because of their Party menu items. I love the cinnachips! 😋

Disappointed with the taco salad

Food is always good, the only thing I will say is that the lady that is usually in the drive thru that has the horrible growth on her face kind of kills your appetite. I REALLY hate to say that bc I have my own physical drawbacks but I am just being honest.

Never had a problem here but i was waiting for them to take my order for about 10 minutes and I’ve been waiting on my food for about 15. During the wait i hear them complain about every order, 2 people from drive thru have come in saying their order isn’t right. Must just be the group of people working tonight. They aren’t that busy... i dont get it.
